I grew up in Hebron, CT and graduated from Kingswood-Oxford high school in 1984. I started in carpentry work while attending the University of Connecticut in Storrs. I worked part time at first then full time while I finished up my degree. After graduating I realized I had a passion for improving people's homes.

During my career as a carpenter I have worked extensively in nearly all different aspects of carpentry work. I have done stick framing, timber framing, stair building, cabinet making, cabinet installation, interior trim, exterior trim, siding, form work, leak detection, roofing, flooring, window and door installation, structural retrofitting. project management and all types of repairs. I lived and worked primarily in Connecticut but also in San Francisco, Japan and Brattleboro, VT. Most of my work has been on existing homes but I have also worked on new construction and commercial jobs. I have also worked on several historic projects including the Old State House in Hartford.

When you hire me, you hire a hands on contractor. I make the critical decisions and i stand behind them. I'm not more expensive just more experienced.
